What is the "Data Period" input for and how should that be set? Same as time frame being used?

Because the POC changes drastically as you move the box around

Hi, 

The VP data is usually pulled out from M1 or M5. Sometimes, the available data on these smaller time-frames is insufficient to cover the VP on higher time-frames such as H4 or Daily. 

If you see a blank VP area, you can change the data period to the next higher time frame from the indicator's input.

I will suggest to read the volume profile material and books available on internet to understand the use of volume profile in more detail.
