The EA is now updated with this trailing function. The old set files can still be used. For the new strategy, please use the set files attached below. 

The recommended lotsize is 0.01lot per 50 usd, so for example if you have 1000 usd, then it will be 0.2 lot on both H1 and H4 set file respectively. Please load the set file up and change the lotsize manually according to your deposit.

Due to news event incoming with FOMC expected to raise 0.75% rate and super bearish trend, I will stop running EAs for a week or two. Please remember to cancel all the pending orders when you stop the EA.

This spike of 234pips on 10 August somehow made the trailing function stopped for the first time. 

Please restart the mt4 terminal in order to clear the bug in the log, then the trailing function will resume.

I will see if there is anything I need to update for this or it is just a rare incident.

Hunting Cat Scalper 3.1 update

1. Changed default setfile from Set B (hedging system) to Set C (trailing stop system), for easier backtest with demo
2. Equity safety stop option added for prop firm challenge
3. New set files for better optimization for current market
4. Minor bug fixes

Version 2.0 & 3.1 are not compatible with one another. So after the update please contact me for new set files.

Hello, hunting cat made too many pending orders, and some pending orders are over 2-3 weeks. Is it right pending orders or bug? 

Recently, several SL was hit and I’m concern that it is maybe old pending order. 

2023.01.09 pending orders until now.

hi, the pending orders will accumulate and it is part of the strategy, but you can clear the pendings orders every few month

I have a question.

I bought and tested the Hunting Cat MT5.

The results on the demo account are great. I use Tick Data Suite.

Then I wanted to test the EA on a live ECN account at Roboforex.
You can see the bad results in the attached pictures.

I did the same tests with other brokers.

The same results everywhere.

Demo is good.

Live is very bad.

Why are the tests different and which test can I trust?

I did all the tests from 2016 to today.

1. it looks like you are using autolot for backtest? for backtest it is better to use manual fixed lot to better assessment

2. seems that you are using current spread for the backtest setting, and the spread of the demo and live account are different. the EA works only at <5spread, better 0-2 spread, and if it is <10 spread it will not be functional. usdjpy is a main currency so it should always be at 0-2 spread in a good ECN broker. check your current spread when you are doing your backtest. other than this issue, i cant think of other reasons at the moment. however, you can forward test the EA with a demo/live account to test

Yes i used autolot and the spread is 0-2.

I did use "variable" spread in the settings. Will change now to 2 spread fix and test again.
