There are many ways to trade Trend Laser you can do the approached you have mentioned for one instance.

so you enter the market whenever it is too late...
It is different from trader dream but yes there is a lag since this type of indicator do not predict the market but waits for confirmed setups. To get better understanding please test the demo version. Also, it is not bad to be entering late in trades because you have to set our stop loss and take profit.

hi, we can not because doing it will alter calculation and will signal trend change too early.
You can change the period settings to 2 to reduce delay but is more prone to market noise.

based from trading the indicator signals,
the signal is generated at the close of the bar with the signal arrow. It is where the profit calculation starts.
You can trade the signal immediately or wait for price to retrace on a better position. Its up to you.
Trend Laser can also be used as a trend filter. so you trade your indicators based from the color of the laser .
