Hi, i ve been running your product 1 day and found its sending wrong orders which do not correspond with the real positions, i.e i do not have mt5 positions in NZDUSD but it sends hundred orders to IB TWS or i have small 14k position in GBPUSD , your copier opened 1ml, same for EURAUD It opened USDMXN, i even do not have such symbol in the parameters.  

I ve run in position sync mode (now it is stopped)

Balances: in MT5  1ml and IB TWS 1.03ml. 

Hi. The symbols setup was not correct.

The image you offered showed that you have set GBPUSD->GBP.USD, GBPCAD->GBP.USD and GBPAUD->GBP.USD.  Besides, NZDUSD and AUDNZD were set to copying to NZD.USD. These lead to the abnormal position you mentioned. I guess it will be the same problem with USD.MXN. 

So please check the symbols setups and make sure they are correctly connected. Thanks.

It seems like the EA does not save between restarts the setting which manages position synchronisation.

Hello,

Position synchronisation will not be turned on when program restarts. That's because it may be lead to some unwanted copying when MT4 restarts.

For example, you forgot to turn off sync button when closing MT4,  several months later, you may not need the position synchronized when you restart the program.

Anyway we may add an option to these kind of needs in the updating version.

Would you mind adding a feature to record TWS connection status somewhere on the disk so that I can restart TWS automatically if it stops working for some reason?

Yes. We may consider to add the Connection Status as the Global Variable of Metatrader. In this way, the connection status of TWS can be read by other programs, such as scripts or EAs.

It would be great if you can add this feature. I'm running a fully automatic system, the above two features (this one and the ability to restore synchronisation settings on restart) are crucial for me. Otherwise TWS and MT is not ideally stable and approximately each couple of weeks I'll be risking loosing money due to MT5 or TWS crash.

Mt5 alerts can be set to send by email or MT5 notification in the input parameter (version 1.4).

Besides, you can set SMS Alerts for trading activities in Account Management on the IB website, on which you can set cell phone or email notification.

Connection status will be sent by e-mail or app notification for the new version(1.5). You can download that to have a try.

I need more symbols. You update the tool to work with 30 symbol pairs?

The scaling is wrong for the buttons. What is wrong?

1. There was no limit for symbol pairs copying. But the chart of MT5 can only display limited symbols.

When you find the EA(Experts) log, you will find the full list of the symbol mapping.

2. The chart objects, such as buttons, may not be displayed friendly to the Zoomed system font. You can try to change the setting as below image.

Anyway, we will optimize the font displaying for next updates.

I'm running an algo in MT5, and it can have periods of activity where trades are raised within a minute of each other, and it could be 4 or 5 in the same direction, e.g. on the 1 minute chart, it might open a buy trade on each bar as the price moves down.  I have tried to test this, and it managed to capture the first 2 trades over into IBTW, but it then had a problem with the 3rd and 4th and would copy them over at the time of them opening in MT5.

Is there anything I should be setting in the copier that would ensure that as soon as a trade opens (or closes) on MT5 that it instantly opens or closes on IBTW?  I've included an image if that helps.

The alerts on the image showed that the program can not retrieve position changing from IB account after the sync.

And you have set the copying ratio as 1000. When you place an order in MT5 with 0.01, the program will copy 1000*0.01=10 to IB account.

It will be not easy for such a small order as 10 USD to be filled on IB account.

it's recommended that you set the copying ratio as 100000, and no less then 0.1 MT5 lots(means 10000 to IB).

I don't think you could keep the both buy and sell positions simultaneously in the Net-Position-Mode IB account.

But IB might have Hedge Account type which allow you to keep Buy and Sell position at the same time. I have heard of that.

Maybe you can ask the Custom Service of IB to know more about this.
