Hey Adnan,

if you are about to try and add that feature could you also look into making the entry strategy trail spikes a little longer?
It tends to open trades a little too early (sometimes way too early) while the spike continues for another 20 seconds or more, in my research it always appears to be at a fixed distance:

Thank you! Teehee with these updates we will soon rule the world! >=)

Hi Henry,

Sure but give some more detail,  what will be indication of spike for EA.

As for Bitcoin we'll see. If it does drop significantly it may drag a lot of other crypto-currencies down with it. But perhaps finally a more appropriate one gets the spotlight afterwards.

Personally, I sold all my BTC a few months ago and have never looked back. I may have made some extra thousands by keeping a bit more, but it looks way too dangerous. I don't like risking my money.

I've been running this EA for awhile with mixed results.. I'm now seeing that if it puts in a sell but the market turns and the indicator turns, it doesn't close out the losing trade (which should be an option i think) but waits until a next sell indicator and tries to recover. I'm wondering why it doesn't open a buy order and profit on the way up while it's waiting to recover its losing sell order? (and vise versa of course) Or maybe i'm missing a setting somewhere?

Overall, its a great EA with tons of potential.

Do you guys on/off/close/gracefully stop the EA/Terminal in news times?
This is the only success EA in my forex experiments. Really happy.
But have drawdown during yesterday in News time.

Thanks

Hey Adnan,

I don't know how your current implementation works, it's all shrouded in mystery and trade secrets (literally 😂)!
Maybe if you give me a clue in a PM I could try improving it.

what is your recommended broker for this EA. I thought of going for IC Markets. But review is very bad. I am scared to go with them

The author uses RoboForex, I personally use Oanda because they exist primarily out of programmers and I see them working hard every day in their github repository.

What matters the most is that they allow a feature called "Hedging" (allowing shorts and longs on the same instrument simultaneously) and they must not have the "FIFO" rule (preventing you from closing any order you like but having to do it in order i.e. first trade you opened must be the first one you close).

Revised balance recommendations from my previous post.

USD/JPY TF M5 (400€/$ per lot)
AUD/USD TF M5 (250€/$ per lot)
EUR/USD TF M5 (200€/$ per lot) (favorite)
AUD/JPY TF M5 (200€/$ per lot)
EUR/AUD TF M5 (200€/$ per lot) (favorite) (5 pips target)

Minimum Operating Balance: 1250€/$

These numbers are based on real live trading draw-down experience and what is said in the forums. (Usage example: If EUR/USD is 0.04 lots you will want to keep 800€/$ for that).
It's assumed you are using all of these pairs simultaneously so in worst-case scenarios they can borrow money from each other.

Hi Henry,

Thanks a lot for your figures - it's interesting to know you recommend $250 more than Adnan's recommendations.

I'm just curious to know how you came to these figures?

Hey amiddup,

my pleasure, I wish to continue providing useful information like this on occasion.

In the past I looked at Adnan's live signal, he started with 5538.89$ and 0.10 lots.
I divided that figure by 10 so 5538.89$/10 = 553.889$ for 0.01 lots.
As such I assumed having 500$ balance to start with is a good safe balance.

It actually worked for me and to this day I have been making a lot of profit but I realized that there were days where I exceeded 500$ draw-down and any beginner would have had a closeout. This almost happened with Pedro Gomes' live signal, he started with 500$ as per my recommendation and as you can see on his equity chart he came down to 89.95$ before barely recovering from that, can you imagine the amount of guilt I had? During all this time Adnan already mentioned once or twice that he recommends 1000$ in the forums. And I agree, however these last two months were brutal and we had some of the worst draw-down in history as you can see in Adnan's live signal.

I decided to write down the worst draw-down during live trading of each instrument and use that figure as their minimum recommended balance. I had AUD/USD open since September, it closed today, it reached down to -453$ draw-down. By doing this over a long period of time, looking at multiple signals and revising/averaging the numbers on occasion I hope to establish a maximum draw-down amount for each instrument.

The idea of having 5 instruments on your account is that any instrument that exceeds their expected draw-down can borrow money from the other instruments that aren't in draw-down. Adnan's figure assumes that this is always possible as it's very unlikely all 5 are in draw-down simultaneously but $453 means one and a half additional instruments can no longer trade. My figures were designed to lessen the borrowing and any user-error lot increases without realizing the amount of draw-down possible on the instrument. Here is an example:

Adnan's 1000$ (5x 200$): The user may think about increasing USD/JPY to 0.04 lots now that they achieved +600$ (3x 200$ more) so 1600$ balance only to end up with -1600$ and a margin close-out as they were not aware of the draw-down this instrument can achieve.
Henry's Figures: The user may think about increasing USD/JPY to 0.04 lots after achieving +1200$ so 2450$ balance only to end up with -1600$ but have 850$ equity remaining and the other instruments continue unaffected with the required minimum balance and there is still plenty of room for emergencies (which would lead to another revision of the minimum balance here in the forums).

As for the (favorite) flags, that's because they tend to recover quickly and are the most profitable and make the most trades with the least draw-down.
As for the (5 pips target) that's because I once figured out having the entry strategy close at 0.20$ caused it to spam profit all day long, as EUR/AUD is the best instrument decreasing the target will cause it to close sooner and faster so many times it far exceeds the few 10 pips target trades in profit. It's a bit of an experiment to try if you already reached 0.04 lots on it.

Hi, could you Lock EA to my other account please? I wrote you in DM anyway. Thank you.

Korey Shienfield

Hello Adnan,

I am a subscriber to Trend Tracker. I am looking for a place where i can see your trades, and how they align with mine. I know on the signal pages that i subscribe to i can see that info in their profile. Where can i see yours? When i goto your signal it says i am not a subscriber which makes sense as i subscribed to your EA. Thank you.
