Multi Timeframe Buy and Sell Power Pro MT5 Indicator

Overview

The **Multi Timeframe Buy and Sell Power Pro MT5** is a versatile custom indicator for the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform. It offers traders a clear, visual overview of buy and sell pressure across various timeframes, helping to identify market strength, potential trends, and reversal points. By analyzing historical price data and volume activity, it calculates percentages of bullish (buy) and bearish (sell) influence, displaying them in an easy-to-read dashboard format directly on the chart.

This tool is perfect for multi-timeframe analysis, allowing you to spot alignments between short-term and long-term market dynamics. It includes a "Main Trend" summary that averages the pressures from your selected timeframes, providing a quick snapshot of overall market direction. Alerts can be set up to notify you of signal changes, with options to control frequency and delivery methods. A temporary visual arrow highlights recent alerts for added convenience.

The indicator overlays text labels on the chart without drawing lines or plots, keeping your workspace clean. It's suitable for any tradable instrument, such as forex pairs, stocks, or commodities, and works on timeframes from 1-minute (M1) to monthly (MN1). Key Benefits

- **Main Trend Overview**: Get an aggregated view of the overall market bias, helping confirm trades across different scales.
- **Customizable Alerts**: Receive notifications for signal shifts, with filters to focus on significant changes and cooldowns to reduce noise.
- **User-Friendly Display**: Automatic positioning, adjustable fonts, colors, and layouts ensure it fits seamlessly into your charting setup.
- **Real-Time Updates**: Refreshes data frequently to keep you informed of current market pressures.

Display and Signals

The indicator creates a horizontal dashboard of columns, one for each enabled timeframe plus the "Main Trend." Each column shows:

- **Timeframe Label** (e.g., "M1" or "Main Trend"): Identifies the timeframe or summary.
- **Signal**: A descriptive term with color coding based on the calculated buy/sell imbalance:
  - "Reversal Incoming" (gold): Extreme pressure (70% or more in one direction), suggesting a potential pullback.
  - "Trend Max UP" (pale green) or "Trend Max Down" (salmon): High pressure (65% or more), indicating a mature trend.
  - "Strong Buy" (lime) or "Strong Sell" (crimson): Solid imbalance (62% or more), signaling strong momentum.
  - "Buy" (yellow-green) or "Sell" (dark orange): Moderate bias (55% or more), suitable for trend-following entries.
  - "Neutral" (gray): Balanced pressures, advising caution.
- **Buy = X.X%** (green): Percentage of bullish pressure, appended with "Up" if over 51%.
- **Sell = X.X%** (red): Percentage of bearish pressure, appended with "Dn" if over 51%.

The dashboard positions itself at the bottom-center of the chart by default but can be moved manually. Labels adjust colors for readability against light or dark chart backgrounds.

For recent alerts (non-neutral signals), a yellow arrow appears above the timeframe label for 1 minute, drawing attention to fresh changes.

Calculation Basis

The buy/sell percentages are derived from the most recent bars (default: 14 periods), factoring in price movement direction, candle size, and trading activity levels. This creates a weighted measure of market pressure, where stronger, higher-activity moves have more influence. The "Main Trend" averages these percentages from all visible timeframes for a holistic view.

Alerts and Notifications

Alerts trigger when a signal changes (e.g., from "Neutral" to "Strong Buy"), but only after the indicator has fully initialized. You can:

- Enable alerts globally or per timeframe, including the main trend.
- Filter for specific levels (e.g., alert on "Buy" or "Strong Buy," or only "Strong" signals).
- Include or exclude neutral signals.
- Set a cooldown period (default: 3 minutes) to avoid repeated notifications during volatile periods.
- Choose delivery: MT5 popup alerts, mobile push notifications, or emails.

Each alert message includes the timeframe, symbol, new signal, and current main trend for context.

Customization Options

Tailor the indicator to your preferences through grouped input settings:

- **Positioning**: Auto or manual placement, column spacing.
- **Display**: Period for calculations, font size/style, vertical offsets for labels, and a full palette of colors for signals and text.
- **Timeframes**: Toggle visibility and alerts for each (defaults: M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1 shown).
- **Updates**: Refresh on every price tick or every second.
- **Alerts**: Global enable, delivery types, cooldown, and filters.
- **Debug**: Optional logging for troubleshooting.

How to Use

1. **Attach to Chart**: Add the indicator to any MT5 chart. It will check for sufficient historical data before displaying.
2. **Configure Inputs**: Adjust timeframes, alerts, and display settings to match your strategy.
3. **Interpret Signals**: Look for alignments (e.g., "Strong Buy" on multiple lower timeframes with a "Buy" main trend) for high-confidence trades.
4. **Monitor Alerts**: Use notifications to stay updated without constant chart-watching.
5. **Combine with Other Tools**: Pair with moving averages or oscillators for added confirmation.

Example Strategy:

Enter a long position when lower timeframes show "Buy" or stronger, and the main trend is "Buy." Watch for "Reversal Incoming" as an exit signal.

Requirements and Notes

- **Platform**: MT5 only.
- **Data Needs**: Requires enough historical bars for accurate calculations; may show defaults (50%) on new or low-volume charts.
- **Performance**: Efficient for most setups, but limit enabled timeframes on slower devices.
- **Limitations**: Based on past data, so it's reactive rather than predictive. Test in demo accounts before live use.

This indicator streamlines multi-timeframe trading by turning complex pressure data into actionable insights.

Added Hurst exponent

The Hurst exponent (H) is a statistical measure used to analyze the long-term memory and fractal properties of time series data, such as stock prices or river flows. Developed by hydrologist Harold Edwin Hurst, it ranges from 0 to 1: H = 0.5 indicates a random walk with no correlation; H > 0.5 suggests persistent trends (positive autocorrelation); and H < 0.5 implies anti-persistence (mean-reverting behavior). It's commonly applied in finance to detect market trends or efficiency.
