🧭 Trend Catcher EA Pro — Control Panel Guide
Purpose:
This panel allows you to monitor performance, manually manage trades, and control the EA’s automation directly from the chart.
📊 Performance Statistics (Left Side)
Displays real-time profit/loss summaries:
DAILY / WEEKLY / MONTHLY / TOTALSY — show accumulated profit or loss over each period.
TRADINGS — total result from all open positions.
WINNINGS — combined profit of all profitable positions.
LOOSINGS — combined loss of all losing positions.
BULLS / BEARS — total results of Buy and Sell positions separately.
🎛 Manual Control Buttons (Right Side)
Use these buttons to close specific trade groups instantly:
C — Close All Open Positions
L — Close All Profitable Positions
O — Close All Losing Positions
S — Close All Buy Positions
E — Close All Sell Positions
🕹 Manual Trade Entry (Left Middle)
BUY ▲ — instantly open a manual buy order.
SELL ▼ — instantly open a manual sell order.
Perfect for traders who want to add manual entries alongside the EA’s automatic trades.
⚙️ Algorithm Switch (Bottom Center)
The sphere icon toggles algorithmic trading ON or OFF.
When OFF, no new trades will open automatically, but existing trades remain managed by the EA.
🌍 Clock (Top Center)
Displays the local time or server time, depending on your settings.
This helps synchronize trade activity with market sessions.

This test was performed using the “Alternating Unidirectional Trend” strategy with Lot Addition enabled.
In this mode, the EA opens trades only in one direction at a time, gradually increasing position size along the trend.
Key Insights:
Focused on trend-following logic — no hedging or opposite trades.
Delivers smooth and stable equity growth with low drawdown (≈2%).
Suitable for traders who prefer steady performance and minimal risk.
Result Summary:
Profit Factor: 2.75
Total Net Profit: $25,790
Drawdown: 2.23%
Total Trades: 1,386

Seems to work well.
FYI when one closes a trade manually (e.g. in profit) using your button on the panel - the added result is NOT displayed in the P&L on your display.
It seems to only register SL and TP of the EA.

I am using your above unidirectional set with lot ADDITION as you discuss on your graph.
When the EA takes the second step in a grid it goes from 0.01 to 0.41!?!?
Is this normal?? It seems very aggressive....!?!?

It has a lot addition of 0.4 by default, that's why it jumps from 0.01 to 0.41. You need to reduce it.

I am trying my best to answer in timely manner.
Pls note you cant use the Multiplier and addition at the same time as its not possible!
One method at the time:
1. I think the multiplier is very well known how it works.
2. The addition as @patrickdrew Explained It will add the lot everytime new orders is opened.
The manual buttons: will be managed by the EA as if its was opened by the EA, So you can replace the Indicator whenever you see an opportunity and wanna jump on it.
The results: Depend very much on lot of factors mainly: a. Broker data: If you compare two charts from two brokers you will see that they are not similar and based on that difference The whole outcome can change from a very exponential profit curve to a flat curve, so the Key is More Testing.
Nota: Pls Keep in mind this is a tool and not a holly grill.

Could you be so kind and point me the way / guide where I could learn how to test this EA in Strategy Tester (MT5)?
I found the descripption is clear and full of promises, but my tests look like the example (atached).
I really appreciate your help.
