Hey, great to hear you're up and running with Scylla on both platforms—that's exactly how I designed it for flexibility across accounts. To verify your installation parameters are spot on, just right-click on the chart where the EA is attached, go to Expert Advisors, then Properties, and dive into the Inputs tab. Scan through the essentials like Magic Number (make sure it's unique per account to avoid mix-ups), Analysis Interval, and whether USEFILTERNEWS is enabled if you're filtering high-impact events. Also, double-check that you've added those key URLs in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors tab: the OpenRouter one for AI and the ForexPros for news. If everything matches the defaults or your tweaks, and you see the AI report popping up on the chart after the analysis interval, you're golden. The Experts tab in the terminal will log any initialization hiccups too.

As for trading alongside the bot, absolutely—you can run manual trades simultaneously without issues, since Scylla uses its own Magic Number to track only its positions. Just keep an eye on your total risk; the EA won't interfere with your hands-on stuff, but overlapping strategies could amp up drawdown, so I recommend monitoring via the Trade and History tabs. If you're splitting across two platforms, set different Magic Numbers on each to keep trades separate. Hit me up if you spot anything off!
Thanks. I shall check & revert to you.

Hey, that graduate hat icon just means the EA is loaded on your chart—great start! To kick off trading, first make sure the AutoTrading button (up top in MT5) is enabled—it's the play icon that needs to be green. If that's on, double-check your settings: right-click the chart, go to Expert Advisors > Properties > Common tab, and ensure "Allow live trading" and "Allow DLL imports" are ticked. Also, in the Inputs tab, confirm ANALYSIS_INTERVAL isn't set too high (default 100 minutes might delay the first analysis), and toggle USEFILTERNEWS off temporarily if news protection is pausing it. If markets are open and your account has enough margin, it should start analyzing soon. Hit me up if it's still quiet!

So I've done the above however it still shows the graduation hat and it's status says EA disabled,Algo trading is currently on and still no trades have been taken

Hi there, I’ve purchased the bot and would appreciate guidance on the correct parameter settings—thanks in advance!

After installing the bot, enabling Algo Trading, and checking the "Allow Algo Trading" option, no trades were executed even after waiting over 30 minutes.

Additionally, I couldn’t locate the "Analysis Interval" parameter.

Hey, thanks for grabbing Scylla AI Analyzer—I'm thrilled you're giving it a spin. As the guy who built this from the ground up, the lack of trades right after setup is super common and usually boils down to a couple of things I designed in for safety and smarts.

First off, that "Analysis Intervparameterter" you're hunting for is the "Analysis Interval" in the inputs tab—it's set to 100 minutes by default. That's intentional; the EA waits that long for its first AI-powered analysis before even considering trades. So 30 minutes isn't enough time yet—give it a full cycle to kick off. You can tweak it lower (say, 30-60) if you want quicker action, but I recommend starting conservative to let the Gemini model do its thing without rushing.

No trades at all could also mean the WebRequest URLs aren't added yet—that's a must for the AI and news filter to work. Head to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors, check "Allow WebRequests," and add these two: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions and http://ec.forexprostools.com/. Without them, the bot's stuck fetching data.

Double-check basics too: market hours (no trading on weekends), your account has enough margin, spreads are low, and news filter isn't pausing things (USEFILTERNEWS is on by default for high-impact events). If AutoTrading's green but still nada, peek at the Experts tab for logs—they'll spill if it's analyzing or hitting a snag.

Thank you very much for your support and response.

The points you raised make sense, and I had already made those adjustments prior to my earlier message.

I can confirm that market time is correctly set, and the following work request URLs have been reviewed and configured:

https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions

http://ec.forexprostools.com/

http://www.dailyfx.com/

I’ve observed that trades eventually initiate—typically after about an hour, as reflected in the Journal tab—but their behavior is noticeably less aggressive compared to my backtest results for the same date range.

Could you advise if there are any additional work request URLs I should consider configuring?

Also, could this discrepancy be related to my inability to access OpenAI services, which are currently blocked in Hong Kong/China?

For context, my backtests across various date ranges consistently yield aggressive and profitable strategies. However, in live conditions, the trades now appear passive and lack clear direction or strategy.

Thanks for the update—glad you've got the core URLs set up right. The openrouter.ai one handles the AI side via Gemini (our default model), and ec.forexprostools.com covers news filtering. DailyFX isn't part of our standard setup, so you might not need it unless you're customizing further; it could even add unnecessary overhead. No other URLs are required for the EA to run smoothly—I've designed it to keep things minimal to avoid connection issues.

On the OpenAI block in Hong Kong/China: That shouldn't impact us at all, since we route through OpenRouter with Gemini as the backend, not OpenAI directly. It's built to bypass regional restrictions like that with the default access.

The delay to trades kicking in after an hour sounds like the ANALYSIS_INTERVAL (default 100 minutes) doing its job—it's analyzing before acting, which is intentional for caution. As for the aggression difference from backtests, live markets throw in real-world curveballs like wider spreads, slippage, and dynamic news that backtests can't fully replicate. The AI might be dialing back based on current volatility or risk params (check MaxDrawdown or lot sizing). Try tweaking AI_TEMPERATURE up a bit toward 0.5 for bolder outputs, or lower the interval to 60 if you want more frequent checks. Demo a quick live sim to match your backtest periods, and monitor the Experts tab for AI reports—they'll clue you in on why it's going passive. If it persists, share a log snippet; I'd love to tweak based on your setup.

Thanks so much for the kind words! That October 2 update was all about smoothing out the AI integration and news filter quirks based on user feedback—it really paid off. Glad to hear it's delivering consistent profits for you. Keep tweaking those settings to match your style, and hit me up if anything else pops up.

Sure, let's get you sorted—installation is straightforward but can trip people up if MT5 settings aren't quite right. First, make sure you've purchased it from the MQL5 Market: open MetaTrader 5, hit the Market tab, search "Scylla AI Analyzer," buy it, and let the download finish. It'll show up in Navigator under Expert Advisors.

To install: drag the EA from Navigator onto a chart (like EURUSD H1 to start). In the popup, enable automated trading and tick "Allow live trading." Click OK, and it should activate with a smiley face in the top-right corner.

One key thing I always emphasize as the dev: for the AI and news features to work, go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors tab, check "Allow WebRequests," and add these URLs: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions and http://ec.forexprostools.com/. That unlocks the built-in API—no key needed from you.

If it's still not showing or activating, check if your MT5 is up to date or restart the terminal. What error are you seeing, or where's it stuck? I can tweak advice from there.

I bought the EA about a week ago and I have it installed on MT5. Added to chart and allowed algo trading. Automated trading is on but in status it says outside of trading hours even though Im within the set trading hours. Im stuck.

Hey, thanks for grabbing Scylla a week ago—hope it's treating you well so far. That "outside of trading hours" status in MT5 is a common hiccup, usually tied to server time mismatches or the EA's built-in checks. First off, double-check your broker's server time (Tools > Options > Server tab) against the actual market sessions—MT5 runs on their clock, so if it's off by a few hours from your local time, that could flag it as closed even if you're in a live window like London or NY open.

Next, peek at the EA's inputs for any time filters I might have set as defaults (like StartHour/EndHour if enabled—though it's not super prominent in basic setup). If news filter is on (USEFILTERNEWS=true), it could be pausing things temporarily—try toggling it off briefly to test. Also, make sure you've added those key URLs in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors: https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions and http://ec.forexprostools.com/—without WebRequests allowed, the AI and news pull won't fire properly, and it might default to a safe "no trade" mode.

If that doesn't click, hop into the Experts tab for any error logs mentioning time or connection issues, and feel free to share a screenshot of your settings or logs on my MQL5 profile. We'll get it trading smooth—it's designed to be hands-off once tuned right. What's your broker, by the way?
