Hi, I am a little confused as to when to buy and sell. When the Atr is low I put in a buy order even though it is at support and resistance. Is there a guide perhaps that you could direct me to so I may use this tool better?

Please note that the signals of this tool are not buy/sell signals.

This tool helps to choose the symbol and timeframe to trade based on volatility.

It depends on your particular trading system to decide how to use it. 

For example, if you day trade in lower timeframes it is better to choose symbols with high volatility in daily and weekly timeframes. High ATR  values in the first mode indicate that.

If you trade consolidation patterns breakout check ATR minimum signals in the first mode to see if there is a consolidation pattern in them.

One use of the second mode is to find explosive moves that might start a new trend.

Third mode helps to choose which symbol to trade in lower timeframes based on volatility/spreed ratio which is useful in scalping.
