Correct and qualitative optimization of the EA is called a forward test and includes two stages. The EA is launch with the best parameters on a new time period where the EA dose not know how to behave. Such period is called a forward period. If the EA demonstrates good testing results (not optimized for this period!) on this period either, there is a high probability that it will have the same readings when trading.

Operation of the PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR EA has been tested in such a manner on EURUSD M5, the testing (historical) period is from 2012.06.01 to 2013.07.01 and the forward period is from 2011.07.01 to 2015.07.10, before the product has been published in the MQL5 Market.
