Vwap Rotation Pivot Strategy is an automated trading system that follows momentum when a zero-lag EMA crosses the daily session VWAP, and rotates into a bounce trade when price reaches the daily pivot extremes. Every trade has an ATR stop loss. It does not use martingale, grid strategies or position scaling.
Core Features
Momentum Entry A buy opens when the zero-lag EMA(65) crosses above the session VWAP and both are rising. A sell is the mirror image. Signals use the last closed bar, so they do not repaint.
Session VWAP VWAP resets each server day and is weighted by broker tick volume (typical price x tick volume).
Pivot Rotation A momentum trade that reaches the daily pivot R2 (long) or S2 (short) is closed. If the averages still point the opposite way, the EA opens a bounce trade in that direction.
Bounce Exit Bounce trades close when price returns to the VWAP.
EMA Stop Line Momentum trades are closed if price crosses back through the EMA(50) stop line.
Risk Framework ATR(14) x 3.0 protective stop on every trade. Loss at the stop is capped at 2% of equity and margin per trade at 25% of free margin, both adjustable.
Breakeven and Trailing Breakeven after a $8 move in your favour. Trailing starts after a $10 move and follows $5 behind price. All three values are inputs, in price units.
Built-In Safety Checks Lot size follows the symbol step, minimum, maximum and volume limit, is pre-checked with the server and is compared with free margin before every order. Stops respect the broker's stops level, freeze level and spread. Stop changes are skipped while a level sits inside the freeze distance. No orders are sent while the market is closed. The EA recovers its state from the open position after a restart.
Structural Architecture
Signal Layer: zero-lag EMA versus session VWAP, slope check on both. Rotation Layer: daily pivot R2 and S2 exits with optional reversal. Risk Layer: ATR stop, risk and margin caps. Protection Layer: EMA stop line, breakeven, trailing, broker-safe stop distances.
Operating Parameters
Primary instrument: XAUUSD (Gold) Suggested timeframe: M15 to H1 Recommended deposit: $500+ Minimum supported deposit: $200 Minimum leverage: 1:20 Hedging or netting account both work Breakeven and trailing inputs are in price units (dollars on gold); rescale them for other symbols ECN / low-spread broker recommended The system does not use martingale, grid strategies or position scaling
Key Inputs Zero-lag EMA length, EMA stop length, lot size, maximum risk percent, maximum margin percent, ATR length and multiple, breakeven trigger and lock, trailing start, distance and step, magic number.
Why Vwap Rotation Pivot Strategy Stands Apart
A clear momentum trigger tied to the day's volume-weighted average A planned rotation at the daily pivot extremes instead of a fixed target Defined stop on every trade and risk capped per trade Breakeven and trailing included
Positioning
For traders who want a transparent intraday momentum system with a defined rotation rule at the daily extremes.
Notes
- VWAP uses broker tick volume (a count of price changes), not traded quantity, so results can differ between brokers.
- The EA needs about 420 bars of history on the chart timeframe and the previous daily bar.
- On small accounts the EA skips a trade when a risk, volume or margin check fails. Skipped trades are not errors.
- Test with real ticks and forward-test on demo before going live.
