These settings are tuned based on the  volatility and  market structure characteristics of each asset class. They serve as a solid baseline for  M15, H1, and H4 timeframes.

1. XAUUSD (Gold) 🥇

Gold has very high volatility and frequently hunts for liquidity (stop hunts/sweeps). The settings need to filter out noise and focus on significant moves.

  • Logic: A short Swing Period will result in too many fake BOS signals. FVG gaps need to be wider to be significant.

  • Settings:

    • InpSwingPeriod:  12 - 15 (Use 15 to identify strong major structures).

    • InpMinGapPoints:  100.0 (Equiv. to 10 Pips or $1 movement. Prevents drawing tiny, weak FVGs).

    • InpUseATR:  true (Crucial for Gold, as volatility changes rapidly).

    • InpATRPeriod:  14

    • InpRewardRatio:  2.5 - 3.0 (Gold trends often run far; aim for higher R:R).

2. FOREX Major Pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD) 💱

Major pairs are more stable and respect technical market structure better than Gold or Crypto.

  • Logic: You can use a faster Swing Period to catch entries on lower timeframes (M15) without too much noise.

  • Settings:

    • InpSwingPeriod:  8 - 10 (10 is the standard SMC setting).

    • InpMinGapPoints:  20.0 - 30.0 (Approx. 2-3 Pips for EURUSD).

    • InpUseATR:  true

    • InpRewardRatio:  2.0 (Standard Forex Risk:Reward).

3. BTCUSD (Bitcoin / Crypto) ₿

Bitcoin has long wicks and significant noise. You must be careful with the "Point" value calculation, as it varies between brokers (2 decimals vs. 1 decimal).

  • Logic: Requires the highest Swing Period to filter out "wicky" price action. FVGs must be large to act as valid support/resistance.

  • Settings:

    • InpSwingPeriod:  20 (Filter out maximum noise; focus on macro trends).

    • InpMinGapPoints:  5000.0 (*Note: If your broker's 1 point = $0.01, this is a $50 gap. If 1 point = $1, reduce this to 50.0).

    • InpUseVWAP:  true (Crypto liquidity often respects Institutional VWAP).

    • InpRewardRatio:  3.0+ (Crypto trends are explosive).

 Pro Tips for this Indicator

  1. DXY Correlation:

    • For  Gold & Forex: Always check the Dashboard. If DXY is Green (Bullish), avoid Buying Gold/EURUSD.

    • The code fix provided earlier ensures the DXY logic works even if the symbol is missing (preventing crashes).

  2. Trend Alignment (The Holy Grail):

    • Wait for the Dashboard to show  "Trend Alignment: STRONG BUY" or  "STRONG SELL".

    • This means both  H1 and H4 momentum are aligned. Trading in this direction significantly increases your Win Rate.
