Can't login to OANDA

I have set up a practice trade account with OANDA and can't find the server. Server is OANDA-v20 Practice-2 but it's not in MT4 (5?) I download MT4 but it says MT5 in version information. I don't know why. I don't want to use the OANDA MT4 client as it lacks signals I wish to use. Does anyone know

Are all brokers legit?

On MT4 are all searchable brokers legitimate and go through any kind of authorization and checks ? Or can anyone be a broker? I believe I'm a victim of a broker scam but just want to know if that's possible or if it's just my paranoia. Their brokerage was easily searchable from within the official

mql4 protocol not working windows 8.1

I'm running Windows 8.1 an installed MT4, when I try to subscribe to a signal in firefox it does nothing. I checked the protocol associations in Windows and there is no protocol for mql4 and there is no way to create a new protocol. I've re-installed MT4 and it still will not work. I've copy-paste
