Is it normal for VPS logs to skip time?

I have an EA that basically fires a log every 15mins. I'm wondering what could have caused this "time skip" where it stopped generating logs between 10:15 to 11:45, the next log was 11:47 (delayed 2mins), 12:02 then 12:15.
