after reading and people talking about the importance of risk reward i thought id share my take on this topic.
As we all know Risk is very important and the rules of risk should be strict and followed without the gamblers mentality such as risk more to get back to your initial level. My rule is to never risk more than 1% of your current account per trade
as for reward the minimum for a set and forget strategy should always be no less than a 1:1.
the confusion starts when traders are managing the trades (not a set and forget) and only look for a 1:1 or 1:2 and many traders only look for a maximum of 1:3
