Specification
1. Overview
The AI trading bot is designed to trade based on trend following or reversals, using market structure and break of structure (BOS) entries. It will operate on the M15 timeframe for entries while using the H1 or H4 timeframe to determine the overall trend.
2. Strategy Breakdown
2.1 Market Structure Rules
●Uptrend: Market forms Higher Highs (HH) and Higher Lows (HL).
●Downtrend: Market forms Lower Lows (LL) and Lower Highs (LH).
●Break of Structure (BOS): Occurs when price breaks a previous HH/HL (bullish) or LL/LH (bearish), signaling a continuation or reversal.
2.2 Trend Determination (H1 or H4 Timeframe)
●The bot identifies the dominant trend using H1 or H4.
●Confirmation tools:
○Moving Averages (50 EMA & 200 EMA) – Price above 50 EMA and 200 EMA = Bullish trend, below = Bearish trend.
○Break of Market Structure (HH, HL, LL, LH) – Confirms whether the trend is continuing or reversing.
○RSI & MACD Divergence – Detects weakening trends and potential reversals.
2.3 Entry Confirmation (M15 Timeframe)
●Once the trend is determined, the bot looks for break of structure (BOS) in the M15 timeframe.
●Entry Triggers:
○Bullish Entry: BOS of previous Lower High (LH), confirming a reversal.
○Bearish Entry: BOS of previous Higher Low (HL), confirming a downtrend shift.
○Retest of structure level (pullback entry for better risk-to-reward ratio).
○Candlestick confirmation (Engulfing, Pin bar).
○Volume spike validation to confirm breakout strength.
3. Stop Loss & Take Profit Rules
3.1 Stop Loss (SL)
●For buys: Below the last Higher Low (HL).
●For sells: Above the last Lower High (LH).
3.2 Take Profit (TP)
●TP1: Nearest market structure level (support/resistance).
●TP2: Next significant structural level or Fibonacci extension.
●Trailing Stop: Adjusted dynamically to secure profits.
4. Risk Management
●Risk per trade: 1% of account balance.
●Max concurrent trades: 3-5 open positions.
●Avoid trading during high-impact news (NFP, CPI, FOMC, etc.).
●Exit strategy if price invalidates structure.
5. Technical Indicators Used
●50 EMA & 200 EMA: Trend confirmation.
●RSI (14): Detect overbought/oversold conditions.
●MACD: Helps identify momentum shifts.
●Volume Indicator: Confirms breakout strength.
6. Execution & Automation
●The bot continuously scans H1/H4 for trend direction.
●Uses M15 for BOS-based entry triggers.
●Implements dynamic stop loss and take profit.
●Have an option for manual pips Tp and SL
