What is the monthly growth calculated from?

Example:

Jan 2016: +20%

Feb 2016: +15%

Mar 2016: +8%

To what value does each growth rate refer to?

Shouldn't MQL5 Community close the loopholes in presentation of Signals' performance?
In Build600 old ex4 files do not work correctly as they say they should

I think monthly profit in % is calculated like this:

Monthly profit in total / balance at beginning of the month
