VPS for EAs needed?
I want to ensure that my EAs trade 24/5.
Why is it that some EAs need VPS to trade when my computer is turned off?
And why don't some EAs need VPS?
All ea's will need VPS to run when your computer is turned off.
some EA's place take profit and stop loss values on the trading server, and these can be executed by the trading server whenever price moves against you or in your favor.
This process is done on the trading server and not on your computer.
Every EA needs a running Metatrader terminal with incoming ticks to be able to execute operations like analyzing data or open/close/manage trades.
If the terminal is shut down or disconnected no EA will work.
You can either run your computer 24/5 or you rent a VPS and run your terminal there.
