You have to ask why a broker would offer a bonus... the obvious answer is they want to attract new clients, but if their service was better than other brokers wouldn't that speak for itself? Wouldn't their "super" services alone attract new clients?

Brokers that offer bonuses often are market makers or poorly regulated brokers that often lose clients and need a constant supply of new clients. They often utilise poor business practices (eg. no profit withdrawal).
