Hi fractalfreak,
there are many possible reasons for an issue like that.
How many charts were usually opened with your default profile?
And how many indicators did you run on each of this charts?
Maybe you use a badly coded custom indicator which causes the terminal crash?!
I recommend to go to the profile folder of your MT4 and open the lastprofile.ini to see which one will be loaded at the terminal startup.
Afterwards you'll have three possibilities:
1. You delete some charts at the folder of the last used profile
2. You can replace this profile with another profile in this lastprofile.ini file
3. You create a new empty subfolder with a new profile name and replace the last used with this new one in the lastprofile.ini
If you assume that there are too many custom indicators in your MT4 folders i recommend to move them to an archive folder outside your MT4 folder structure.
Hi Stuart,
are these the logs attached?
Right click on your Journal tab, select open, then choose the latest log file. Do the same with the Experts tab and attach both logs in a message to Service Desk

Hi,
my MT4 was running well.
Since 2 days it is crashing as soon as I open it.
I tried different PCs, different brokers. I did a virus scan and registry check.
Any idea what the issue is?
Thx
