I want to get an alert when a certain chart pattern occurs, say 3 candlesticks up followed by 3 candlesticks down. Is it possible to do this with a Custom Indicator?
I'd be very grateful for any help as I haven't used MetaTrader and I haven't a clue how it works but obviously I don't want to start using it unless it can do what I need. I'm currently using a trading platform and charts that are really simple(suits me fine!) and I don't want to be able to trade automatically or do any other complicated stuff, just to get alerts on simple(?) chart patterns so I don't have to watch the screen all day.
