Reading STRING from .DLL

I have a need to pass a string INTO MetaTrader and would like to accomplish this through a .DLL.

Can someone point me to a .DLL example that shows how to read a string value that is passed through the .DLL?

I'd like to update.... if passing a string from the DLL to MT4 is not possible... I'd like to see an example of passing SEVERAL INT VALUES from the DLL to MT4.
