On the website of the Automated Trading Championship 2008, an article Review of Participants by Yuriy Zaytsev (YuraZ) has been published. Yuryi Zaytsev known as YuraZ to us participates in the Automated Trading Championship for the second time. In 2007 his Expert Advisor was the 6th best. Yuriy is an active MQL4 Community participant: he writes comments, opens new topics. He is the author of an article Integrating MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal with MS SQL Server. Yuriy shared his own estimation of some Championship Participants.
I am not surprised by the profit of the top ten, which is larger than $140 000 in its peak equity. Already during testing period before the Championship 2008 I noticed trend periods and high volatility of almost all main currency pairs. For example, in the forum topic Tester Charts of future Championship Participants would-be Participants showed their testing reports. Many of them reached that level of $200 000 and even more.
