i bought vps three days ago, i will like to  switch it to another mt platform with a different brocker

how do i switch it, i mean which options should i click to swich

This depends on which way you are moving, so it is worth checking before you pay for anything.

From what I have seen on the forum, a VPS subscription made from an MT5 account was reported as not movable to an MT4 account. The workaround given was to cancel the MT5 subscription and take a new one on the MT4 terminal, with the unused time credited. Other replies say you can move a subscription between trading accounts from the VPS subscriptions page on your MQL5 profile. I could not find a clear answer for MT4 to MT5, so please confirm with MQL5 support or check the subscriptions page before cancelling.

If you do need to move to the other platform, these points apply either way:

1. MT4 and MT5 are not interchangeable. EAs are .ex4 on MT4 and .ex5 on MT5, so an MT4 EA will not run on MT5 unless you have a separate MT5 version.
2. Register the new VPS from the terminal you want it to run on (right-click the account in the Navigator). In the final step, tick the option to migrate the account and settings.
3. Log in with the master password, not the investor password, or the subscription will fail.
4. Check the chart, EA inputs and any templates after migration. Not everything copies across, and symbol names can differ between MT4 and MT5 on the same broker.
5. Do not run the same EA on the old and new VPS at the same time. That can open duplicate trades.
6. Once the new VPS shows the EA running, stop the old one and confirm that no old positions or orders are left unmanaged.

If you tell us the direction (MT4 to MT5 or the reverse) and the broker, people here can be more specific.

After moving the subscription, you also need to migrate the trading environment from the new account.

For MT5:

  1. Log in to the new trading account.

  2. Open the required charts, attach your EAs, and check their settings and symbol names.

  3. Go to Toolbox → VPS and migrate the environment.

  4. Check the VPS Journal to confirm the migration completed successfully.

Moving the subscription and migrating the charts/EAs are separate steps.
