And on second thought, an average broker-dealer likely wouldn't want to be bothered with paperwork nor even digital paperwork.

as far as I know it doesn't touch the seller's side at all. With the investor password you log in from your own terminal straight to the broker's server, so the seller's MT5 and the EA keep running as before. You can only watch, no trading.
