Why does MT5 show EA trades as "Manually" in the account history? - page 2

Magic = 0 from a Script/EA gives this :

fooling newbies ;)
For those who are curious, keep looking on the net.

What is this supposed to mean ?

What is this supposed to mean ?
since when setting magic number to zero make the trade marked as manual trade ?
Maybe I understood it out of context, then my apology.
It is a good newbie joke though ;)

Look better, it says "Placed by Expert".

The first part is the comment I used.

The "Manually" label in the History tab isn't about the magic number at all, it comes from the deal's DEAL_REASON, which the trade server sets based on how the order that produced it was actually submitted. You can check this precisely instead of guessing from timestamps: log in with the read-only investor password, run a small script that loops HistorySelect() plus HistoryDealGetInteger(ticket, DEAL_REASON) over the account's deal history, and print DEAL_REASON_CLIENT/DEAL_ REASON_MOBILE/DEAL_REASON_WEB against DEAL_REASON_EXPERT for each one. If most or all deals come back as CLIENT/MOBILE/WEB rather than EXPERT, those trades were placed by a person clicking in a terminal, not by an Expert Advisor, whatever the magic number says. It's a read-only diagnostic that doesn't touch trading, and it settles the "EA or manual" question with data straight from the server instead of inference from timing patterns.
never seen anything like this before:
1: trade comment
2. ??? really ??? Manual trade ???
3. magic number

magic ? hack ?
Let's assume AI enhanced ;)

May I know what's your purpose here ?

To bring confusion ? To troll ?

If you got a tooltip which is unclear then give us the context, instead of your "ironic" assumption.

Thanks.

It is not trolling, it is valid inquiry of my client who is asking, why is it possible at all ?
If this forum silences such inquiry its your call, you have the authority.
Fact is, there are people out there wondering, why such trades are possible to make.

obviously a language barrier there. Note that short 3 or 4 word sentences with double question marks -- with smiley faces -- in english -- is generally assume to be a sarcastic remark, and not a real question.

I am not silencing anything, I am trying to understand, as you didn't provide context.

This screenshot :

Is taken from History tab, showing Positions. "Expert id" is the magic number. Still it shows "Placed manually".

In a similar situation, trade open by EA, closed manually, this is what I get (there is a comment for this position but it's not displayed):

So apparently, it's possible to have some wrong indication "Placed manually" while an EA is used for the trade. I suppose it's what you want to say.

The first screenshot is just showing a comment "Expert MANUAL".
