MetaQuotes-Demo XAUUSD, historical server time, quote sessions and tick revisions in September 2026

Hello,

I am verifying the integrity of an offline XAUUSD research dataset from
MetaQuotes-Demo. Could a MetaQuotes representative clarify the following for
September 3-18, 2026, or point me to the authoritative source?

1. What UTC offset and daylight-saving policy did this server use on those
   dates? A current check on September 21 observes wall-clock values three
   hours ahead of UTC, but I do not want to assume that historical mapping.
2. What were the exact XAUUSD quote and trade sessions, including the September
   7 holiday? Repeated historical requests return no quotes for server-labelled
   23:00-24:00 on September 4, 7-11 and 14-18, nor 22:00-23:00 on September 7.
   September 7 quotes stop around server-labelled 21:29:59.187. Are these
   expected scheduled closures, or is tick history incomplete?
3. Can historical ticks be revised, corrected or extended after synchronization?
   What is the reliable procedure to establish that a bounded history request
   is fully synchronized and complete, and is there a history-version marker?
4. In one small segment around server-labelled September 8, 08:09:37.382-.782,
   an older retained capture contains two exact quote records absent from the
   later capture, while the later capture adds six. Elsewhere a later capture
   adds 898 records in September 8, 12:56:08.111-12:59:59.964, and three around
   September 16, 06:43:02.548-.698. Two complete repeat requests now agree with
   the later capture. Could this be history correction or synchronization,
   and how should the authoritative version be established without guessing?

The historical interface used was the terminal's read-only
`get_chart_ticks_history`, which returned `time_ms` as a server wall-clock
string. Both versions have been retained; no missing quotes have been invented
or filled, and no strategy outcome has been evaluated on this sample.

Please distinguish confirmed historical server settings from current symbol
settings. This request does not authorize any account, server or trading change.

This is 3rd new thread regarding the same period of data feed on mq demo that i have seen in past 1.5 weeks.

Note that the mq demo is not for trading. It should only be used to trial the program of mt5. do not trade with it, or code with the use of the datafeed for trading of it. 

Only use brokers mt4/5. the mq demo server has had many issues in past, including the period that you mention. It can be very unreliable. It has been known to be "down" for weeks at a time too.
