Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for mql5 accounts

Dear Metaquotes,

As more platforms adopt two-factor authentication as a recommended standard, I kindly request that you implement it for mql5 accounts as well.

Every mql5 account, regardless of whether it belongs to a buyer or seller, is sensitive due to the financial transactions involved in purchases and sales.  Therefore, it should offer enhanced protection compared to the current solutions provided by Metaquotes.

If this hasn’t been done yet, I would appreciate it if you could add it to your 2026 roadmap.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

Daniel

It already exists, though I didn't check how it works.

It's up a broker-dealer to implement 2 factor authentication in MT5─according to my FX broker-dealer, who didn't.

I’ve noticed that too but I wasn’t referring to trading accounts. I was talking about the user account on mql5.com.

This account serves as the central storage for all purchased products and without it users can’t access them.  For sellers it’s even more problematic.

Therefore offering a two-factor authentication option or passkeys on mql5.com would be a simple addition for Metaquotes but significantly enhance security for every user on the platform.

If possible, could you please forward this to the market admins? Two-factor authentication is standard by 2026.

Oh ok I had misunderstood.

Request transmitted to MetaQuotes.
