Have you encountered a bug that causes drafts to disappear? Please provide a link to the discussion you're referring to.
It was a private Message discussion with Sergey Golubev regarding the unexplained disappearance of posts from a music thread. I previously had another private Message discussion with Miguel Angel Vico Alba regarding disappearance of posts. In both cases, they (not me) suspected bugs regarding their posts. If they remember, they can verify those discussions.
If you don't want to back up your files like I do for my own website, then simply don't back up.
At the end of the day, backing up online content is best practice regardless of whatever is/is not posted here.
