The newer MT5 has lost the ability to install *.ex4 files

ex4 files are related to MT4 and can not be installed on MT5.
You should use MT4 for ex4 files.

Same goes for mq5 indicators. They are not being compiled anymore at the start of MT5. Version 5.00 build 5430. The workaround for now is to manually compile every indicator in the IDE.
