Discussing the article: "Dialectic Search (DA)"

Check out the new article: Dialectic Search (DA).

The article introduces the dialectical algorithm (DA), a new global optimization method inspired by the philosophical concept of dialectics. The algorithm exploits a unique division of the population into speculative and practical thinkers. Testing shows impressive performance of up to 98% on low-dimensional problems and overall efficiency of 57.95%. The article explains these metrics and presents a detailed description of the algorithm and the results of experiments on different types of functions.

In the world of optimization algorithms, where mathematical precision meets philosophical wisdom, a unique method inspired by dialectical materialism has emerged: Dialectical Algorithm (DA). This algorithm, presented as a synthesis of classical dialectics and modern optimization methods, rethinks the search for optimal solutions through the prism of the philosophical opposition of thesis and antithesis. The basis of DA is the idea that any solution (thesis) contains the potential for improvement through interaction with its opposite (antithesis).

In its algorithmic implementation, this principle is reflected through the interaction between speculative thinkers, who seek new solutions, moving away from the known, and practical thinkers, who strive for proven solutions. The materialistic aspect of dialectical materialism is manifested in the reliance on objective criteria for evaluating decisions and practical verification of results. Development occurs cyclically: the solutions found give rise to new contradictions, which leads to the next round of search, reflecting the continuity of knowledge and improvement.
