SOCKS Proxy not working with configuration file in portable mode (MT5, works fine in MT4)

Hello,

I am trying to launch MetaTrader 5 in portable mode using a configuration (config .ini ) file. The setup works fine in MT4, but in MT5 the SOCKS proxy setting (ProxyLogin and ProxyPassword) are ignored and does not seem to work.

Here is an example of my config .ini  file (credentials masked):

terminal64.exe /portable /config:config.ini

[Common]
Login=XXXXX
Server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443 
Password=******** 
NewsEnable=0 
ProxyEnable=1
ProxyType=1 
ProxyAddress=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:30000 
ProxyLogin=xxxxx 
ProxyPassword=*****

• Running MT5 with this config in portable mode, the SOCKS proxy does not take effect.

• In MT4, the same setup works correctly.

Question:

• Has anyone managed to get SOCKS proxy working from a config file in MT5 portable mode?

• Is there a different parameter or workaround needed?
