I purchased the VPS avalivle through MT5 desktop terminal. I am running an EA on my account however my VPS continues to disconnect from the server with the message in my journal "connection to MYBROKER-Server lost" everytime my computer screen goes black or comupter turns off.
I've attempted to troubleshoot, restarting, testing my internet connection, trying a different broker/server and the issue persists. I thought by purchasing the VPS i'd avoid having to have my computer open and on 24/5

Recently, I encountered the same issue and just managed to fix it. I’m not sure what criteria the MetaQuotes team used to block it, so I can’t give much advice on that. You can try the following steps:
-
Upgrade your VPS OS to a newer version. I recommend Server 2022 or later.
-
Don’t randomly disable services such as Windows Update Service. I tried using a customized Windows version with many services disabled and faced the same problem. I suggest doing a clean install of the official Windows version and then updating it to the latest version.
-
After completing steps 1 and 2, contact the MetaQuotes team to unblock your VPS Internet IP. Once they unblock it, try installing MT5 again — it should work normally.
