Question Regarding Activation Count After VPS Renewal or Re-Purchase

Dear MQL5 Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I have a question regarding the activation policy of products purchased from the MQL5 Market in relation to your MQL5 VPS service (https://www.mql5.com/en/vps).

I understand that when a product is activated on a new hardware or device, one activation is consumed. My concern is related to scenarios where I rent your VPS for one month, stop the service, and later decide to rent the VPS again — possibly on a new instance.

In such a case, will a new activation be required, even though I am using the same MQL5 account and the same product?

It seems a bit unclear to me because the VPS instance is provided by your system, and I believe this situation is quite different from switching physical computers or third-party VPS providers.

I would like to know:

1. If I rent your VPS for one month and stop it afterward, will that VPS hardware ID be retained if I rent it again later?

2. Will re-purchasing or renewing the MQL5 VPS after a break consume an additional product activation?

3. Is there any way to preserve activations if I continue using only MQL5 VPS (even if it’s a new instance)?

I believe many users like me would appreciate clarification on this, especially when we rely on your trusted VPS service to run our EAs and indicators.

If the product is used on MQL5 VPS so the activations are not decreased (irrespective off - stop, start or whatsoever).

Not. It should be 1 in total.
Example: you bought EA or indicator in the market and using 1 activation on your PC with Metatrader. If you decide to use MQL5 VPS for this Metatrader 4 or Metatrader 5 on this your PC so you will not buy new activation for VPS - you will still use this one.

Because MQL5 VPS (for MT4 and for MT5, or many people call it 'Metatrader VPS') is just a copy of your Metatrader (together with your activation) in the cloud.

It is what I understood from MQ for example.

Products purchased on the Market and launched on the chart are also moved during migration. They remain completely functional, and the number of available activations is not decreased. Automatic licensing of purchased products without spending available activations is provided only for the virtual terminal.

"...provided only for the virtual terminal..." it means that autiomatic lacensing is provided for metatrader VPS only (and not for any other VPS from any other websites).
