If you absolutely must trade from that system, go on Azure/AWS/Google and sign up for a free 12-month trial Windows VPS. Remote desktop into that Windows machine, install MetaTrader, and trade that way. (Google it, YouTube it, etc. I'm not writing a whole tutorial when you inevitably reply with "how do I do that").
OR, if you're serious about trading, and you want to/do make money from it, then you can afford to replace that system. Running an old version, which runs through WINE as there's no native version for Mac, is just asking for issues. Grab an off-lease Thinkpad on eBay and use that for trading; obviously the Apple reps can't tell you that, but if you're at all serious about trading with MetaTrader you really do need a Windows machine, either remote as a VPS, or a physical one with you.
OR, find a broker that either doesn't use MetaTrader or offers a web interface to trade.
