Reports: Trades with no ID

Why do some trades in MetaTrader reports not have an ID number? Is there a specific reason why certain trades appear without a unique identifier?

Selahattin Kilic:

Some trades in reports may not have an identification number (ticket) for various reasons:

  • If the report is generated in a summary format, some platforms combine multiple trades on a single line, omitting the individual tickets.
  • If an order has been closed and then deleted from the server history, it may appear without an identifier in some reports.
  • In rare cases, problems with the broker's history or synchronisation failures can cause identifiers to be lost.
  • Some adjustment operations (such as broker corrections or internal transfers) may not have a visible ticket in standard reports.

If critical, you can review the detailed history on the terminal or request information from the broker.

In netting accounts, positions are aggregated. This can sometimes result in consolidated entries where individual trade ticket numbers aren’t shown.

Trades are partially closed or modified, the history might record multiple related operations. Some of these records may not display an individual ticket number.
