Yes thats is correct. It is the same expert but running on two seperate charts. So are saying that if i disable algo on one chart (grey hat) then this will disable on the other chart because it the same expert ?

But have you attached the EA on these 2 (two) charts, or it is attached on 1 chart only and it trades on both symbols from that 1 chart?

If that is the case, you can only disable the trading on 1 symbol from the EA internally and not from the 'algo trading' settings of the MT5 platform.

Your answer continues to be "vague". I am not asking if it is the same expert, but if you have it running on only one of the charts or if you have attached it twice, once on each chart.

Please show the screenshot of both charts at the same time, and hopefully each chart has the "Expert" icon on both (if it is the case).

I attached the expert to one chart. I then opened another chart without attaching the expert. The expert made a trade on the chart that I didnt attach it to which confused me. So I right clicked the chart and disabled the algo trading which in turn disabled the expert on the chart I *did* attach it to.

1: I cant understand why it traded on the chart I didnt attach it to (by this I mean the option to remove it was there when i right clicked)

2: I thought I could use the expert on one chart and then open another chart without it attaching to it. But it seems I cant.

If you only attach the EA to only one chart and it trades on other symbols, then that is what the EA is programmed to do. Then obviously if you disable the trading, it will stop trading on all the respective symbols it trades on.

To have separate trading, then the EA needs to trade only on the current symbol and no other, so either fix the code or discuss it with the author of the program.
