Strange Sound and Loading Issue with MT5 Strategy Tester - Need Help

Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing a strange issue with the MT5 Strategy Tester. Every time I try to load or run a backtest, I hear a sound that resembles a 'rubber duck' or squeaking noise. Alongside this, the tester either freezes or doesn't load data correctly, and I'm unable to complete any backtests.

Details of the Issue:

• Sound: When I initiate the Strategy Tester, there’s a repeated ‘rubber duck’ or squeaking noise. This starts as soon as I click to load the tester and sometimes continues throughout.
• Loading Issue: The tester often freezes during this loading phase or fails to load data entirely.
• Steps I've Tried:
  • Restarting MT5
  • Checking my internet connection
  • Reloading market data

Additional Information:

• Platform: MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
• Operating System: [Windows 10]

Has anyone encountered something like this, or does anyone have ideas on how I can troubleshoot or fix it? I'd appreciate any suggestions or insight on what might be going wrong.

Check the Journal tab of the strategy tester, you will probably find some message or error that explains why your backtest is being stopped.

I have a message saying that the cloud servers are switched off Does anyone know how I can fix

This is not the problem, search for anything else.

Also on my inputs tab on the strategy tester I dont see any options. the inputs tab is blank. Please see below.

What could likely be the issue then? Would it have to do with the fact that the input tab does not give me the chance to select an expert?

You have enabled the 'Optimization' option in the Settings tab, select disabled to go forward with your test.
