"Meta Trader has stopped working"

I'm running vista on a more than adequate system. Been running mt4 since I built system in Feb 07. After windows update on the 16th and restart, the error msg comes up everytime I try to launch any trading platform using mt4. App never does launch, just error msg. Tried uninstalling updates, no go. Tried restore to previous date, no go. Tried uninstalling mt4 and doing fresh install, no go. The following is the problem detail from error msg;

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go from here? I've done no other updates or downloads so I cannot figure out what happened. Also I do not know which Win update affected mt4. I hope someone has some input. I do not know where to go from here. Thx
