Is StrategyQuant worth it?

Just wanted some opinions, i went through the website, some tutorials/videos and the "bells & whistles" as far as optimization goes, look honestly pretty impressive, has anyone tried this software yet?

IMO, no not at all. It overfits like mad and if you look at your firewall it sends the results to the software maker. So, it's really only profitable for them as they first make money on the software and then you do the work of finding bots that might work.

Though I ummm heard. Yeah, let's go with heard. If you setup a virtual machine, use VMware or something, install Windows then StrategyQuant trial. When the trial ends you can revert the VM a couple weeks and extend your trial.

Awesome thanks for the input, i think i'm not going to bother with it i definitely don't like the idea of doing all the work for them
