There is no specific limit or answer to that, but skipping updates is not the right way to go.

I want to add, there can be unexpected uninterreptions from the broker side if you dont update which I had in the past. If you can tell me there reason why you need to postpone such update, I may better addres to your question!

Some terms and conditions of use of MT5 prohibit limiting updates in any way. That said, I know of cases that in less than 30 days had noticed a Metatrader disconnection from the broker's quotes
