Few questions about the Data Center

Hi there,

I started working with the data center and wanted to be clear regarding several things:

1. True/False that: The DC supplies ONLY price quotes (and version updates) from the "parent" server. The MT login MUST MATCH the parent server to be subscribed to the quotes. If it's not, the MT will bypass DC and connect directly.

2. A or B?
A. Trading commands (send+receive) are handled THROUGH the DC (as a gateway)
B. Trading commands (send+receive) are handled DIRECTLY with the parent server, regardless of DC

3. a. Which kind of "memory" appears on the Log of DC (are there any known leaks?),
b. and what is the "net Kb" - it is always showing 0 ...

If you mean the private DataCenter ("Data Center"), then:

1. True/False that: The DC supplies ONLY price quotes (and version updates) from the "parent" server. The MT login MUST MATCH the parent server to be subscribed to the quotes. If it's not, the MT will bypass DC and connect directly.


This depends on your settings on the Server tab of the Tools -> Options menu. Please refer to the 'Client Terminal Settings - Server' topic of the client terminal integrated help files.

The "memory" means is a free memory of your RAM. The "net: 0 kb/s" string means the average speed of quotes receiving.
