Hi you may try this
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub &
sudo apt install preload
sudo update-grub
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apt-fast/stable sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install apt-fast
I went through the process of installing homebrew and wine and then installing MT5 into Wine. Runs MUCH faster and fonts are clearer.
Use this tutorial, working great

Hi all,
After seeing warnings in the logs about an outdated version of Wine, I went and downloaded the new OSX installer from MT5 website again and did a fresh install. All ok, except a problem is that window resizing / changing is very slow. Even with a default chart, no indicators loaded, swapping between full screen charts is very slow. It seems to switch to a tiled windows and then back to full screen again? It's about a full 1 second to swap between charts.
Has anyone else run into this issue and may know what the fix might be?
Thanks
