HST and FXT files have different types of history data. And they mean for different tasks.
thanks Tatyana
I know the difference between the 2 file format, but my question is:
why there are 2 dbaseses of data instead of 1 dbase?
would be occupied half space on the HD
thanks for your time

The matter is that FXT-files are modeled by tester and contain ticks data, for example, but not data of bars.

I am just wondering why MT uses 2 historical dbases for data, as i can see an HST file and one FXT.
Wouldn't it have been better to have just one of these?
I suggest that the next version of MT will have only one history data bank
Thanks
Genio
