uploading changes to system/EA/charts to VPS

 Hello,

This is just to confirm I don't stuff up something before I start.

I have 16 charts on a MT platform located on a VPS.

I would like to turn off 4 EAs on 4 charts but keep the charts with the EA on the VPS, so option is there to turn on later.

So, I just turn off the 4 EAs and then upload again to the VPS with the other charts functioning as per usual?

It does sound a bit obvious but thanks anyway.

regards and thanks

How to update/adjust EAs that are hosted on a VPS?

You have to make your adjustments locally in your computer's MT4 platform and then synchronize with your VPS again.

MQL5 MT4 integrated VPS doesn't give you real/visual access to the MT4 platform that your EAs are loaded on.

To make it shorter:

  • you need to prepare everything in your home PC/Metatrader (charts, EAs with the settings attached to the charts, autotrading should be ON in your home Metatrader before synchronization/migration and it will automatically be turned to be OFF after  synchronization/migration),
  • and migrate/synchronize. After that - check the logs to know - it was sucessful or not.

I can't find any instructions on how to use the mt4 platform on a vps, so if anyone had any sources of information, or experience with this it would be much appreciated. Mql5 mt4 integrated vps doesn't give you real/visual access to the mt4 platform that your eas are loaded on
