What does the broker see ?

Interesting question asked over at the Yahoo forums which I'd like MQ to answer please.

- When a EA is running on my trading platform can the broker tell what it is that I am running?
- Do they know what paticular script is being used?
- Or do they only see the orders that are placed?
- Can they see buy or sell stops?
- Or do they only know when the order is filled?

I am just curious how much happens on my end and how much happens on theirs.


I know they'd be aware of orders placed as they have to be lodged to be taken up but a comprehensice list of what data is transmitted and available at the brokers end of what's running on the terminal would be quite informative.
