How can i backtest my strategy with my indicators on MT5?
ZaAds: My impression is that i would need to create and .exe EA and test it and the system would generate a report? Let me know if i am right and if so how to create that EA?
Correct, the Strategy Tester is for testing Expert Advisors (EAs), not for manual paper trading.
One can however use a Trading Panel / Assistant that has been purposely created for doing manual trading (via the the panel/assistant) on the Strategy Tester.
To create EAs you need to learn to code in MQL5.

Hello guys,
I need a bit of guidance to learn how to test my strategy.
I have made up my own strategy, with know indicators and i want to back test it on MT5.
I tried the strategy tester, but it is very weak :
1. It shows the evolution of the price not the conditions
2. it does not allow you to interact with the screen
3. It does not take into consideration your balance / conditions / entry points etc...
4. It does not give any report
My impression is that i would need to create and .exe EA and test it and the system would generate a report?
Let me know if i am right and if so how to create that EA?
