I thought everyone understood a trend as I do - a bottom-up movement, i.e. its end is always at the highs)

A trend is a channel. It can be upward, downward and horizontal (sideways)
For me, a channel is a channel and a trend is a movement:)
there is no sideways movement for me :D the market moves up and down
