By your logic, prosperity is linearly related to the frequency of elections?

once a year or once a month?

don't compare all countries, each country is its own oscillating system with its own effective frequency.

I can only think of theocratic saudi arabia, oil based economy, no elections, not much prosperity

There is nowhere as caring about the economy and the people as much as in countries with frequent and transparent elections, but there are always negative factors for the economy where elections are cloudy and rare.

Elections, re-elections, - watch the film "Zeitgeist 2" where it says it all, who and why, and most importantly for whom.

Ukraine is a tough nut to crack:

plan A worked (economic killers)

plan B was not needed (jackals)

.......

Georgia is a tougher nut to crack:

plan A worked.

But for insurance purposes they used plan B - they whacked Zhvania and Patarkatsishvili

 
Elections are profanity. The herd will always choose whoever the ruling elite wants.
 
The herd is not homogeneous and each individual, having seen a couple of films and read a couple of books, has an opinion on what is going on (there are enough examples on this forum), and the most active individuals may even have mechanisms in place to monitor elections to check their results
