In MT5 do I have to pay an extra spread relative to MT4? - page 3

sergeev:

I was simply pointing out the error of your netting reasoning.

I just pointed out your mistake in netting reasoning, that you are calculating the pose differently for MT4 and MT5.

So, with the spread, did you understand why there are 2 spreads in MT4 and 3 in MT5? Or do you need to describe in more detail how spreads are calculated?

Andrei01:

So with the spread, do you understand why MT4 has 2 spreads and MT5 has 3? Or do you need to explain in more detail how the spread is calculated?

Please describe it. It will be very interesting for all of us.

Mischek:
Please, describe it. It will be very interesting for all of us.

MT4: Entry 1 lot buy (1 spread) + second entry 1 lot sell (1 spread) + close sell + close buy. Total 2 spreads.

MT5: buy 1 lot buy entry (1 spread) + buy 2 lots sell entry (1 spread) + buy 2 lots buy entry (1 spread) + buy close. Total 3 spreads.

Andrei01:

MT4: Entry 1 lot buy (1 spread) + second entry 1 lot sell (1 spread) + close sell + close buy. Total 2 spreads.

MT5: buy 1 lot buy entry (1 spread) + 2 lots sell entry (1 spread) + 2 lots buy entry (1 spread) + buy close. Total 3 spreads.

Describe more precisely, with time, when at what time opened, how long was in the market. Then maybe you'll understand what the problem is. The cases are not identical.

Andrei01:

MT4: Entry 1 lot buy (1 spread) + second entry 1 lot sell (1 spread) + close sell + close buy. Total of 2 spreads.

MT5: enter 1 lot buy (1 spread) + enter 2 lots sell (1 spread) + enter 2 lots buy (1 spread) + close buy. Total 3 spreads.

chitd.

why did you change the logic of the second entry? instead of entering with 1 lot sell in MT5 they made it two lots...

You can manage to pay a bigger spread in MT4 than in MT5, but to have more spread in MT5 than in MT4 is impossible. In MT4 it is possible when counter orders are closed one at a time, not counter-closed. In MT5 it is always counter-closed.

cheatd.

why did you change the logic of the second entry? instead of entering with 1 lot of sell in mt5 made it two lots...

Because one lot of sell goes to close the first buy, and the second lot directly stays in sell after netting to retain the equivalence of entries in MT4.

Integer:
In MT4 it is possible when counter orders are closed one at a time, not counter orders.
For spread calculation it does not matter whether counter-closed or single, the spread depends on the lot size of the open trade and is taken off when the trade is opened.

Andrei01:

MT4: Entry 1 lot buy (1 spread) + second entry 1 lot sell (1 spread) + close sell + close buy. Total 2 spreads.

MT5: buy 1 lot buy entry (1 spread) + 2 lots sell entry (1 spread) + 2 lots buy entry (1 spread) + buy close. Total 3 spreads.

Add TIME to each action so you don't have to do it again

Andrei01:
To calculate the spread, it doesn't matter if you close a counter-close or a single close, the spread depends on the lot size of the open transaction and is taken off when you open the transaction.

The spread has NO REFUNDABLE spread and what is spread calculation? Spread has NO CALCULATION.
